The Ulyanovsk Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital named after Yu.F.Goryachev is a modern multi-specialty healthcare facility comprised of 15 departments covering 19 healthcare specialties intended for round-the-clock medical care service provision, and 11 auxiliary departments specializing in medical treatment and diagnostics.

The inpatient hospital and outpatient services ward use advanced diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation equipment which allows world class level medical care services being provided. Since 2015, the Yu.F. Goryachev RCCH has been providing health care services using advanced medical technologies for the treatment of complex diseases in the following specialties: nursing of newborns with extremely low body weight, premature babies with respiratory disorders; pediatric surgery in the neonatal period, abdominal surgery in older children; children's orthopedics (corrective surgery in children with cerebral palsy, congenital malformations of the extremities, post-traumatic deformities).

On March 5, 2018, on the basis of the Ulyanovsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital named after Yu. F. Goryachev, the “Mama” Perinatal Center was opened, which is the largest obstetric care facility in the Ulyanovsk Region. The capacity of the Perinatal center is 150 beds. It consists of 15 structural units working to ensure all births take place safely.

EUROPEAN PRINCIPLES OF ORGANIZATION OF WORK IN THE LABOR WARD - - treatment and diagnostic facilities being as close as possible to the patient: individual birth halls, including those within the admission department, each being equipped with a functional bed, a resuscitation console for women in childbirth and children, a mobile ultrasound scanner, capability of accommodating relatives, as well as fitballs allowing mothers to select the optimal position during contractions. The interior solutions of the birth halls feature bright design and multifunctionality, contrasting with the "stereotype" of a hospital ward environment.

- FULL RANGE OF CAPABILITIES FOR PRENATAL DIAGNOSTICS OF FETAL PATHOLOGY (laboratories of medical genetic counseling, allowing to determin the causes of an undeveloped pregnancy and spontaneous abortion, the presence of hereditary diseases and malformations of the fetus from the 11th week of pregnancy) AND SURGICAL CORRECTIONS (including fetal surgery - operations on the fetus within the mother’s womb);

- MODERN MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES FOR NURSING NEWBORNS WITH A LOW AND EXTREMELY LOW BODY WEIGHT: effective primary resuscitation, high- frequency mechanical lung ventilation (a special type of lung ventilation in newborns with immature lung tissue), mechanical lung ventilation with a highly sensitive trigger system allowing to maintain child’s minimal respiratory movements, amplitude-integrated EEG - cerebral monitoring of metabolic disorders, congenital malformations of the brain, verification of the central nervous system features in cases of intraventricular hemorrhage, total hardware hypothermia (the therapeutic effect of low temperatures on tissues with impaired trophism), medical and protective regime (the maximum exclusion of all external stimuli - “nest” and “lugi ” type intrauterine state simulation), early unlimited mother/child contact, the participation of parents in “nursing” right from the resuscitation department stage (“kangaroo” method, “school for parents of premature babies ";

- TELEMEDICINE - the use of computer and telecommunication technologies for the purposes of medical information exchange, as well as for conducting conciliums on complex clinical cases with the involvement of specialists from federal centers, conducting virtual rounds of departments of the perinatal center. In accordance with the Rules of provision of medical assistance to foreign citizens on the territory of the Russian Federation, approved by Decree 186 of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 06.03.2013, medical services at the center are provided to foreign citizens on a chargeable basis. Therefore customers are required to have notarized translation of their passports with them when applying for medical services at this center.
